Terms & Camp Rules (AGBs)

Dear guests,

Welcome to Anderswo Camp at over 1000 metres above sea level. Up here, we’re on first-name terms – so: great to have you with us!

We’re happy to help wherever we can to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
To ensure everyone enjoys their time here, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Please treat the site, nature, and fellow campers responsibly. Use of the camp is at your own risk and in accordance with the camp rules.

  2. Our current prices are posted on-site and on our website. Pay when you arrive or before you leave. Want to extend your stay? Just let us know, and we’ll check availability.

  3. Set up your pitch so that paths and electricity points remain accessible. Make sure tent pegs and guy lines aren’t trip hazards. Please don’t dig trenches or damage the natural surroundings.

  4. We regularly clean and check the sanitary facilities – please leave them as you found them. Small children must be accompanied.

  5. Campfires are only permitted in our fire bowls on the terrace pitches (01–33). They’re strictly forbidden in the wild areas due to high fire risk. Fire safety rules are posted at the entrance. In dry periods, all fires may be banned.

  6. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. If you plan a late hike, please move your vehicle to the hiking car park opposite. Before leaving, clean your pitch. If something breaks, let us know so we can ensure no one gets hurt.

  7. Please separate your rubbish: bio, paper, plastic, drink cartons, cans, bottles – so there’s hardly any residual waste. Need extra bags? Just ask! Please don’t throw everything into general waste out of convenience.

  8. Be considerate with noise – music, TV, conversations. During quiet hours (12:00–13:30 and 23:00–7:30), keep voices to “tent level”.

  9. Drive at walking speed on site to protect children and other campers.

  10. Dogs are welcome – please clean up after them, even in the wilder parts of the site.

  11. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a stay in the interest of all guests and camp harmony.

  12. If necessary, please follow instructions from camp staff in line with these rules.

  13. Gas systems in vehicles must be checked by a certified expert (DVFG) every 2 years.

  14. Power points are VDE-standard (6A, 220V). Cable length must not exceed 25m.

  15. Cancellation Policy:

  • Fixed accommodations: Free cancellation up to 13 days before arrival.
20% fee after that, 50% fee from 3 days before.

  • Pitches: Free cancellation until 23:59 the day before.
    After that: 1-night fee.

You’ll find our camp rules posted at reception. By booking, you accept them.

Any questions? Just ask. We wish you a wonderful stay in the Bavarian Forest!

Campfire Rules

Love a campfire? So do we – but please keep it safe:

Fire is part of camping, like mushrooms are part of the forest 🍄

  • You can borrow fire bowls from us.

  • Firewood available for a fair price.

  • You may bring your own wood if it’s dry and doesn’t cause excessive smoke.

  • Do not collect wood from the forest or camp grounds.

  • Private fires allowed only on pitches 01–33 – not in “Into the Wild” or “Blueberry Hills”.

  • No fires near trees.

  • Never leave fires unattended.

  • Fully extinguish your fire with water.

  • Dispose of cold ash in the ash bin.

  • From forest fire risk level 4 onwards: open fires prohibited.
